MLB Home Run Predictions Today: HR Prop Bets for Wednesday, July 1

Tampa Bay Rays third baseman Junior Caminero (13) reacts after hitting a home run

It's the "Wednesday Wallop Watch," and three sluggers jump off the board in elite home run spots. Junior Caminero gets another crack at Seth Lugo, a pitcher he's already taken deep twice and who has been serving up long balls all month. Josh Bell stays hot against Tatsuya Imai, whose extreme fly-ball tendencies create a perfect recipe for left-handed power. Meanwhile, Casey Schmitt draws a familiar matchup against Zac Gallen, a pitcher he's already homered off and who has been giving up plenty of damage lately.

If you're chasing Wednesday's best home run props, these three bats have all the ingredients for another moonshot.

Best Home Run Props Today

Junior Caminero Home Run Bet (+475)

The Rays slugger already has 22 home runs and now gets one of his favorite matchups. Caminero is 3-for-6 with two bombs against Seth Lugo, who has been far more homer-prone lately, allowing six long balls in June. With an elite 52.1% hard-hit rate and plenty of history against Lugo, this is a spot to back homer No. 23.

Josh Bell Home Run Bet (+500)

Bell is swinging a hot bat, and Wednesday's matchup is too good to ignore. Half of his 10 home runs have come in June, including one on Monday, and eight of his 10 bombs have come batting left-handed against righties. That's exactly the matchup he gets against Tatsuya Imai, whose sky-high 49.6% fly-ball rate has made him vulnerable to left-handed power.

Casey Schmitt Home Run Bet (+500)

The Giants infielder already has 16 homers this season, with 13 coming against right-handed pitching, and he gets a familiar matchup against Zac Gallen. Schmitt is 4-for-10 with a home run off Gallen, who has allowed 15 long balls this season, including four over his last three starts. This is a great spot for Schmitt to go deep again.
