MLB Home Run Predictions Today: Best HR Prop Bets for Friday, Sept. 4

Milwaukee Brewers designated hitter Christian Yelich (22) hits a home run

It’s “Friday Fly Ball Frenzy,” and three power bats have matchups ready for some bleacher damage. Christian Yelich gets Rhett Lowder, who’s allowed 12 of his 16 homers to lefties and six bombs over his last five starts. Bobby Witt Jr. draws Jameson Taillon, a pitcher he’s already homered against and who’s surrendered 26 bombs this season. Meanwhile, Spencer Torkelson faces Foster Griffin, who’s allowed 16 homers to right-handed hitters.

If you’re looking for Friday’s best home run props, Yelich, Witt and Torkelson have the splits, power and pitching matchups to send one into the seats.

Best Home Run Props Today

Christian Yelich Home Run Bet (+380)

Yelich sees Rhett Lowder on Friday, and he might want to start practicing that home run trot. He went deep Tuesday against the Cubs and has crushed eight of his 10 homers against righties this season. Lowder has been running a souvenir stand lately, allowing six homers over his last five starts and at least one in each. Twelve of his 16 bombs allowed have come against lefties.

Bobby Witt Jr. Home Run Bet (+357)

Witt Jr. spent August heating up, and Friday gives him a pitcher he’s already introduced to the bleachers. Witt went 2-for-3 with a homer against Jameson Taillon in their first matchup. Taillon has coughed up 26 bombs this season and hasn’t started since Aug. 10. With Witt coming off a .306 August, I’m riding the hot bat on Friday.

Spencer Torkelson Home Run Bet (+204)

Torkelson finally ended his August power vacation, going deep already in September, and I’m betting the boom stick stays awake. Friday’s nightcap brings Foster Griffin, a lefty who’s been awfully friendly to right-handed power. Griffin has surrendered 23 homers this season, with 16 coming against righties. Torkelson has one September bomb and I’m riding him to do it again Friday.
