Milwaukee Brewers fans are ecstatic that their team will finally play in the World Series after 44 years. They entered the Fall Classic after beating the Los Angeles Dodgers in the National League Championship Series.
As soon as Jackson Chourio caught the fly ball that sealed a four-game sweep, Brewers fans must have been scrambling to score World Series tickets. However, one lucky fan need not worry because his parents gifted him two tickets to see the Brewers face either the Tampa Bay Rays or the Cleveland Guardians.
As Fanatics Collect posted on X, the father of a young fan collaborated with their local card shop to keep the surprise hidden. Initially, the boy thought that he was just getting a 2026 Topps Series 2 Jackson Chourio Holo Foil Yellow trading card.
Sports Card Pro reports that an ungraded version of this card is worth an average of $6, while a PSA 10 could be valued at up to $57. However, the young fan received a gift that was much pricier than the card.
Hidden behind the card is a note that reads, “This card comes with 2 tickets to the World Series. Love, Grandma & Aunt Kathy.” The note also revealed that the tickets will be for Game 2 of the World Series at American Family Field in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The Brewers earned home field advantage after finishing the regular season with the best record.
While it’s unclear which seats they have, TickPick lists the cheapest tickets for Game 2 at $1,850. But beyond this unforgettable experience, the young boy hopes his beloved team will win their first-ever World Series championship.
To make that happen, Chourio must play a critical role in driving in the runs and covering the field. Game 1 of the 2026 World Series will be on Friday, October 23, at 8 p.m. Eastern Time.
