Tennessee Titans quarterback Mitchell Trubisky suffered an injury following a solid performance in the Titans’ win against the San Francisco 49ers. His injury could be something that opens the door for two Titans quarterbacks ahead of the Seattle Seahawks game.

The first person worth mentioning following the injury is Will Levis, who is actively in a competition against Trubisky for the backup quarterback job. Levis is entering his fourth season with the franchise and his third season healthy following his absence from the 2025 campaign due to a season-ending injury.
Levis returned with the hopes that he would become a starting quarterback in the NFL yet again. While that won’t be the case for the Titans this season, unless Cam Ward becomes injured, Levis could still make up some ground following Trubisky’s injury.
Levis believes that there aren’t 32 quarterbacks who are better than him in the NFL, which is something that he can now prove, as he is the front-runner to be the second quarterback on the depth chart, unless the concerning anticipation proves to be an overreaction surrounding Trubisky at this time.
Hendon Hooker

Hendon Hooker is entering his fourth season in the NFL, as he was in the same draft as Will Levis, but was selected slightly after the gunslinger from Kentucky, taken by the Detroit Lions. He would later find himself in a position similar to another player who played college football at the University of Tennessee, Josh Dobbs, as he would bounce all over until finally landing with a team ahead of the season, which looks promising.
This will be the first season for Hooker as a Titan, and may not be his last. After signing Trubisky and the injury occurring, the Titans have a choice to make when it comes to Hooker and Levis. In my opinion, Hooker is the better quarterback when it comes to identifying things such as pressure and coverages that he is facing, which would allow him to be a fine backup.
Having Hooker as the No. 2 quarterback could be a good thing, as this would give the Titans a chance to trade Levis before it gets too late.
