Olivia Miles of the Minnesota Lynx has seemingly already been vaulted into stardom, looking more like a seasoned veteran than a rookie in her first year in the league. Since being selected No. 2 overall in the 2026 WNBA Draft, Miles has been electric for Minnesota, helping lead the Lynx to a 15-6 record, currently second in the Western Conference.
In the first game of the year, a close 91-90 loss to the Atlanta Dream, the 5-foot-10 guard put up 21 points, three rebounds, eight assists and a pair of blocks and steals. The New Jersey native hasn't relented since, averaging 18.5 points per game, 4.8 rebounds, 5.7 assists, 1.4 steals and 0.8 blocks while shooting an efficient 50.6% from the field and 89.9% from the free-throw line.

Last Thursday, Miles was selected as a starter for the 2026 WNBA All-Star Game. The next day, in the Lynx's game against the New York Liberty, the former TCU Horned Frogs star suffered a calf strain. Miles missed Minnesota's game Monday against the Connecticut Sun, a close 90-89 loss, and it appears she will miss Wednesday's game as well.
The Lynx have ruled their rookie sensation out for the rematch against the Sun. Minnesota head coach Cheryl Reeve will hope for Miles to return soon, as the Lynx face four games in seven days, starting Saturday when they host the New York Liberty at Target Center at 1 p.m. ET.
"Olivia Miles (calf) listed out Wednesday," Underdog WNBA wrote on X.
Minnesota will head to Mohegan Sun Arena to face Connecticut on Wednesday, with tipoff scheduled for 7:30 p.m. ET.
