Expectations were low for a New England Patriots team led by a promising but still raw quarterback on his second year and a head coach whose last season with his previous team was underwhelming.

However, the Patriots, along with Drake Maye and Mike Vrabel managed to beat the odds and make the big game. Though they lost to the Seattle Seahawks in the final NFL game of the 2025 season, their 14-3 record tells everyone that the Pats are back.

As if Patriots fans couldn't thank Vrabel enough for everything he did for New England, his latest interaction with fans should endear him even more to them.

The New England faithful braved the cold weather to welcome their team back despite their Super Bowl loss.

While some of the players weren't in the mood to interact, the team's head coach took some time to sign autographs and take selfies with fans.

It's clear in the video just how happy fans were that the head coach chose to spend time with them when he could have simply headed straight home from the airport.

Vrabel's actions not only gained the love of the Patriots fans; online commenters also took the time to praise the former New England linebacker.

One fan appreciated Vrabel's effort: "Honestly, awesome. They could have stayed home, but they came out to support the team and thanked the guy who helped us even get there. That’s true love and fandom."

"That’s my coach," another commenter stated.

One Seahawks fan couldn't help but admire Vrabel's demeanor. "Hawks fan here. How can one not like this guy," they said.

Another Patriots fan thought about how the 50-year-old turned the franchise back into a contender. "He turned it around and did what everyone thought was impossible. We got a good one," the follower wrote.

"[T]his is New England," a poster added.

"Coach absolutely we seriously cannot be any more thankful, a Super Bowl would’ve just been the icing on top of my favorite season as a patriots fan (I’ve been a fan since I was born in 2000), but this is still my favorite season, the culture isn’t just back it’s been revived in a completely new way with the same focus. I think I can speak for everyone in NE when I say thank you and we are ride or die with you," a New England supporter remarked.

Vrabel and the Patriots will have to do it all over again to make Super Bowl LXI, but they appear more than ready to take on the challenge.
