Trout, at age 34 and already in his 16th season, has had a sensational series against the Yankees. On Monday, the first game of the series, Trout went 3-for-5, including two home runs in an 11-10 loss. The first was a 421-foot home run to left-center in the sixth inning against right-handed relief pitcher Tim Hill. His second was a 445-foot home run to deep left-center in the eighth inning against right-hander Camilo Doval.
His third home run of the series came on Tuesday in a 7-1 victory. Trout got his home run early, hitting a 432-foot shot to center field off starting left-hander Ryan Weathers. On Wednesday night, Trout made history. Facing starting right-hander Luis Gil in the fifth inning, Trout hit a 383-foot home run to right-center.
That home run gave Trout his fourth of the series and made history. The Millville High School graduate became the first player since 1990 to record four or more home runs in a regular-season series against New York.
