Ric Flair has once again made his feelings about Charlotte Flair’s place in wrestling history clear. The WWE Hall of Famer’s latest praise also caught the attention of AEW star Mercedes Mone, who responded to Flair with a playful challenge of her own.
“The Nature Boy” shared a collage on Instagram featuring Charlotte Flair alongside Mercedes Mone, Trish Stratus, AJ Lee, and Stephanie McMahon. He then used the caption to name his daughter the greatest heel and the greatest female wrestler he has ever seen.
“Charlotte Flair @charlottewwe Is Obviously The Greatest Heel, But Actually The Greatest Female Wrestler Of All Time In The History Of Women’s Wrestling! And God Knows I’ve Seen Them All! WOOOOOO!”
The statement immediately put “The Queen” at the center of another debate over the greatest women to ever compete in professional wrestling. Mone, who was one of the other wrestlers featured in the collage, did not simply let the post pass without a response.
The AEW star fired back directly at Ric Flair, challenging the WWE Hall of Famer while also playing off his trademark catchphrase.
“Do you want to get your (expletive) kicked Ric? Wooooooooo,” wrote Mone.

The former AEW TBS Champion’s response was clearly delivered with a playful edge, but it also came from someone who has shared plenty of history with Flair’s daughter.
Charlotte Flair Has A Simple Response To Her Father’s Praise

“The Queen” did not attempt to debate her father’s claim or offer her own assessment of the women featured alongside her. Instead, she responded to Flair with a short message that appeared to acknowledge the personal nature of the compliment.
“Daaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaad,” Charlotte commented.
The exchange is another example of the different reactions to Flair’s assessment. While Charlotte answered her father directly, Mone turned the moment into a lighthearted back-and-forth with the wrestling legend.
Mone and Charlotte are also closely linked through WWE’s Four Horsewomen era. Alongside Becky Lynch and Bayley, they helped define a major period in the company’s women’s division and spent years competing against each other.
Mone is now focused on a different championship opportunity. She is scheduled to challenge Willow Nightingale for the AEW Women’s World Championship at AEW All In 2026 on August 30 at Wembley Stadium in London.
Mone earned the opportunity by winning the Owen Hart Foundation Women’s Tournament. Before that title match arrives, however, she appears to have found time for one more exchange with “The Nature Boy.”
