Megan Rapinoe accused the U.S. men's hockey team of acting poorly following their gold medal win over Canada.

The U.S. men topped Canada, 2-1, in overtime in the men's hockey gold medal game. The Americans won the gold medal for the first time since 1980. The U.S. men were led by Jack Hughes, who scored the game-winning goal.

The Americans celebrated with FBI Director Kash Patel, who played a phone call from President Trump in the locker room. The American men were caught laughing at a joke about the women's team by President Trump, before joining the President of the United States for a celebration in Washington, D.C.

"The United States men's hockey team, in their utter moment of glory … ruined it for themselves because they allowed themselves to be totally co-opted by a clown," Rapinoe said on A Touch More with Sue Bird and Megan Rapinoe. "And now, you're a clown. You look like a clown."

She added: "You have the medal. You have the medal swinging around your neck that you won, that you fought for, that you dreamt about your whole life, and then you just gave this whole moment over to this person who you know is just only gonna use it for him. Gonna totally co-opt it."

Rapinoe has assigned blame for the whole ordeal, too.

She claims that if she was a captain of the team, she wouldn't allow this to happen. The U.S. team was led by captain Auston Matthews.

Rapinoe calls out U.S. team captain

The U.S. women's soccer star bluntly called out U.S. team captain Auston Matthews for not shooting this all down.

"I know what happens in those locker rooms. People get brought in, you have no say. To have the President on the phone, you get yourself wrapped in this moment. For me, the choice point is like, I would've never as a captain or a leader on my team, that would've been clear to our staff: Those people would never be allowed in our locker room," she said.

The U.S. men might not have made the decision to let this happen, but they didn't get in the way, either.

Rapinoe has a problem with that.
