Stefanos Tsitsipas has stepped into a new phase of his life, and his girlfriend Kristen Thoms is already the subject of interest for tennis fans.
In early 2026, the Greek star made his relationship with Thoms public after posting a travel vlog of their trip to Namibia. The romance came several months after his highly publicized split from Spanish tennis star Paula Badosa.
Who Is Stefanos Tsitsipas’ Girlfriend Kristen Thoms?
Kristen Thoms is an American who has a background in tennis. Prior to her modeling career and social media content creation, she played college tennis, which has provided her with an insider’s perspective on the professional sporting world that Tsitsipas inhabits.

Kristen Thoms was also a highly rated junior college tennis player, ranking as high as No. 44 in the nation in the 2015 recruiting class. She went 12-8 in singles play and 15-18 in doubles during her two seasons at Iowa. Her career was much shorter in the professional arena, where she has a 1-1 record in doubles and no current singles ranking with the ITF.
The relationship was said to have been kept relatively private until it became more public when Tsitsipas vlogged about his relationship in Namibia. Thoms has since appeared at various events to support him, such as the 2026 Miami Open and BMW Open.
What Has Tsitsipas Said About His Girlfriend?
Tsitsipas has been open about the positive impact Thoms has had on him.
He complimented her for her understanding of the rigors of professional tennis and her support during challenging times on the court in April 2026. She was special to him because of her knowledge of the sport and the psychology of it, he said.
That tennis link may prove to be particularly useful for Tsitsipas as he tries to get back to his best form. The Greek star had a rough time after dropping down the ATP rankings before starting his comeback.
Furthermore, Tsitsipas’ mother, Julia Salnikova, also approved of Thoms’ relationship.
“I think he’s matured in every way. And his girlfriend’s presence has helped him tremendously. She’s given him a very comfortable emotional life,” Salnikova said.
She added, “I feel like I’ve known her for 90 years. She’s a very sweet girl, she understands tennis; she played for the university, and she’s also built her own career in marketing and player representation.”

Tsitsipas’ romance with Badosa was among the most watched in tennis history. The couple went public in 2023 and briefly separated in 2024 before reuniting and finally separating in 2025, when they were known as “Tsitsidosa”.
Thoms is a much quieter chapter. Tsitsipas doesn’t seem to be in a high-profile tennis feud or relationship, but someone who understands the pressures of tennis from a personal standpoint.
The couple are still working on their relationship in the background for now, with Thoms still being a familiar name in the stands, supporting Tsitsipas.
