ESPN has a new "SportsCenter" anchor.
The Worldwide Leader in Sports announced on Monday that Madelyn Burke, formerly of CBS Sports and MSG Networks, will be joining the company. Burke, who has developed a sizable following on social media - she has close to 50,000 followers on Instagram - will be starting in April.
Longtime ESPN NFL insider Adam Schefter announced the big hiring news on Monday morning, March 23.
"Madelyn Burke, who has covered the New York Giants with MSG Network and Giants.com while also hosting for CBS Sports HQ, has joined ESPN as an anchor for @SportsCenter . She will begin work in April," he announced.

Sports fans are excited by the hire.

Burke is a veteran of the sports media industry
Burke studied media and journalism at Arizona State University, graduating with a Bachelor's Degree in broadcast journalism in 2009, according to her LinkedIn.
The sports media anchor then worked for Bleacher Report as a studio host for three years. She later worked for Sports Illustrated and the New York Giants, before joining CBS Sports HQ in 2024, where she has been for the past two years.
Burke announced that she was leaving her gig with the New York Giants over the weekend.
"After 10 seasons of covering the New York Football Giants, it’s time for me to move on. A bittersweet goodbye, as I’ve loved being a part of Big Blue and watching this organization evolve over the last decade. I’ve built some incredible friendships, made lasting memories, and hope to have left a positive impact on the fan base with our content and coverage over the years. I’m excited to soon announce what’s next, more on that soon. For now, one thing remains true: once a Giant, always a Giant 💙," she announced.
Now, she'll be joining the Worldwide Leader in Sports, serving as an anchor for "SportsCenter," the network's flagship show.

Burke will be based out of ESPN's studios in Bristol, Connecticut.
