There's new leadership with the Las Vegas Raiders but it's entirely possible that all-world pass rusher Maxx Crosby will have no part of it. Or at least, that's the rumor which Crosby had to address.

Rumors recently came out that Crosby personally told Raiders minority owner Tom Brady that he wants out of Las Vegas. So he appeared on the Let's Go! podcast and addressed it.

Crosby dismissed the rumors and lamented that he can't unring the bell that someone has rung. He said he understands that people "just try to throw gasoline on the fire" and doesn't care what people have to say.

“People are gonna have rumors,” Crosby said. “I just looked at my phone, I’ve been working all morning. Everyone’s hitting me up, ‘Did you say this?’ I can’t control that. You earn that as a player. If I wasn’t doing the right things and if I wasn’t the person and player I was, you know, people wouldn’t be talking about all of the nonsense. But that’s what comes with it. If you have drama, if you have a losing season, they just try to throw gasoline on the fire and make things a certain way. I know what I’m about, I know what I represent. I really don’t care what everybody has to say.”

It's worth noting that Crosby didn't explicitly deny the rumors either.

Crosby and the Raiders

Crosby has been the best player on the Raiders for basically his entire career with the team. He is coming off his fifth straight Pro Bowl and his fourth season of at least 10 sacks. 2025 marked a career high for him with a whopping 28 tackles for loss plus his first-ever interception.

But while the Raiders managed to reach the playoffs in 2021, that's been the only taste of real success they've known since he entered the league. Klint Kubiak, hired earlier this week, will be his sixth head coach (full-time or interim) since just 2019.

The latest Raiders regime change could indicate that the team will punt on yet another season, either to develop a new starting quarterback (Fernando Mendoza) or just develop young players.

Whether Crosby is eager to be traded or not, the Raiders could certainly see the long-term benefits in doing so if they can get a haul like the Dallas Cowboys got for Micah Parsons.

Has Maxx Crosby played his final game for the Silver & Black?
