The injury crisis continues to haunt the MLS Champions Inter Miami as Mateo Silvetti suffers an injury in the Leagues Cup match against Atlético San Luis.
Inter Miami are now two forward players down at the start of the Leagues Cup this year as Luis Suarez is banned from playing in the competition following his actions in the 2025 Leagues Cup Final.
Now Silvetti appears to have suffered a serious injury tonight as he was taken off after only playing 26 minutes. The Argentine forward appeared to be crying as he came off the pitch and struggled to move his left arm.

Silvetti did not start the match and came on the pitch in the 60th minute to replace Daniel Pinter, who started with Lionel Messi in the attack. Silvetti came off in the 84th minute and was replaced by David Ayala.
Silvetti appears to have a dislocated left shoulder as he was unable to move his arm. Medical staff were with the player to walk him off the pitch. More information is expected to be given by Inter Miami head coach Guillermo Hoyos after the match.
Guillermo Hoyos Gives Mateo Silvetti Injury Update
After Inter Miami's 4-2 win over Atletico San Luis in the Leagues Cup, Inter Miami head coach Guillermo Hoyos provided an update on Mateo Silvetti's injury during the post-match press conference.
Hoyos confirmed that Silvetti's left shoulder popped out of its socket, but the medical staff was able to get the shoulder back in place in the locker room.
The Inter Miami head coach did not confirm whether Silvetti will miss the next Leagues Cup match, which is against Monterrey on Saturday.
