Harry Kane is the star forward for England, one of the top strikers in the world and had a lights out start to the FIFA World Cup. He's also a massive fan of Tom Brady and will get a chance to represent England on the same field Brady dominated for decades.
In a recent interview with The Athletic, Kane revealed that he's been an NFL fan since he was young "mainly" because of Tom Brady. Kane said that he has always admired Brady for how he managed to rise from the bottom all the way to the top of his craft.
“It was mainly the NFL that I got into at quite a young age,” Kane said. “And mainly because of Tom Brady. My love for that started from him.
“Seeing the way he went about his business, his journey from the start — when people didn’t expect much from him — to go on and be the greatest ever player in his sport is maybe reminiscent of me earlier in my career. Having people doubt me and working hard enough to turn that around.”
Kane & The Three Lions
Last week Kane scored two goals in a big win over Croatia, further cementing his status as the all-time leading scorer in England's storied soccer history. But with England playing Ghana today with a chance to clinch the top spot in their group on the line, and the game taking place at Brady's Gillette Stadium, he's admittedly excited the most for today's game.
“That is probably the one I am excited to go to,” Kane said of Gillette Stadium in the interview. “That one will be pretty cool.”

At 32 years of age and coming off a career-high 61 goals in all competitions for Bayern Munich, Kane clearly has plenty of great soccer left in him. However, he's long teased the idea of getting a chance to be a field goal kicker in the NFL.
It might not happen in the next five years or so, but perhaps one day Kane will get to follow in Brady's footsteps in more ways than one.
