The Seattle Mariners have one of the strongest lineups in baseball, and the group is entering 2026 looking to make another deep postseason run.
At the center of it has been the outfield, specifically Julio Rodriguez and Randy Arozarena, with both players shaping this new era of Mariners baseball. Rodriguez will be entering his fifth season in Seattle and has solidified himself as a legitimate American League MVP candidate.
In 65 games after the All‑Star break, he owned a .290 batting average, .341 on‑base percentage, .900 OPS, 18 home runs and 13 stolen bases while playing elite defense.
Fortunately for the Mariners, he is locked in long‑term on a 12‑year, $209 million extension that runs through the 2035 season.

As for Arozarena, his future is less certain as he enters the final year of club control before hitting unrestricted free agency next winter. Even so, he has become a fan favorite in Seattle for his electrifying moments and infectious personality.
That personality was on full display during a memorable at‑bat in the 2024 season. Arozarena stepped out of the batter’s box before three consecutive pitches, working the count to 3‑0.
On the next pitch, he launched a towering home run into the upper deck in left field, catching the pitcher off guard and celebrating with his signature flair. Two years later, the clip continues to circulate online as one of the coldest at‑bats in recent memory.
This week, the moment resurfaced again when Rodriguez reposted the clip to his Instagram story, tagging Arozarena and adding a message that translated to “To remember is to live,” followed by a laughing emoji.
It was a reminder of the chemistry between two of Seattle’s most important players and the energy they bring to a team with championship expectations.
Arozarena was traded to the Mariners in 2024 at the trade deadline from the Tampa Bay Rays. In 214 games with Seattle, he has posted a .236 batting average, .340 on‑base percentage, .753 OPS, 32 home runs and 99 RBIs.
For the Mariners, moments like this only highlight how closely Rodriguez and Arozarena are linked in shaping the identity and confidence of a lineup built to contend deep into October.
Both players have earned multiple All-Star selections, and each claimed an AL Rookie of the Year award, underscoring the talent at the heart of Seattle’s rise.
