Former NBA star Michael Jordan hasn't played in the league since 2003, but he hasn't forgotten what it means to win. Although he hasn't been part of the action for decades, Jordan remains competitive. This time, however, he took his game to NASCAR, as his team won a third consecutive race.
Jordan's 23XI Racing first had its win at the Daytona 500 in Daytona Beach, Fla., on Feb. 15. That was followed by the Autotrader 400 in Atlanta, Ga., on Feb. 22. The team's third consecutive win was on Sunday, at the Circuit of the Americas in Austin.
The team was led by driver Tyler Reddick, who had a historic run at NASCAR as the first driver to win first place in the first three races of the season.

On Monday, former Los Angeles Lakers star Magic Johnson congratulated his friend, MJ, for his team's achievement. The NBA icon gave Jordan a shoutout on X.
"I want to congratulate my friend Michael Jordan once again! His 23XI Racing team won its 3 straight NASCAR race to start the 2026 season making NASCAR history! 👏🏾" Johnson posted.
Reddick and the rest of Jordan's team can extend their historic run and win their fourth race on Sunday. The Straight Talk Wireless 500 will take place in Phoenix, Arizona, at the Phoenix Raceway.
After the win, Jordan gave most of the credit to Denny Hamlin, who co-owns the racing team.
“Denny’s done an unbelievable job in terms of helping build this team,” Jordan said. “Look, I just put up the money.”
Tyler Reddick Recreated Michael Jordan's Iconic Championship Photo
Jordan keeps on winning. During his time with the Chicago Bulls, he won six NBA championships in two separate 3-peats. In his first 3-peat with the Bulls, Jordan posed for a photo, showing off the most recent title that Chicago won at the time, which was the 1993 championship.
Numerous others have attempted to replicate the image, which has become an icon in sports history. After Jordan's NASCAR team won a third time, Reddick honored the Hall of Fame basketball star by recreating his legendary photo.
After the win, Reddick said that the former Bulls star reminded him of his reputation for 3-peats before the race.
“Yeah, he reminded me early this week (that) he does things in threes,” said Reddick. “He expected no less today. I was really glad to be able to live up to the standards that he has for us and be able to deliver three in a row. That was really cool to share that moment with him.”
Jordan continues to dominate off the court.
