It seems like we now know why Luka Doncic's ex-fiancee Anamaria Goltes was willing to drop her child support petition in the United States. She's going after him in Slovenia, and wants a big chunk of his money too.
According to TMZ Sports, Goltes has filed a claim in Slovenia for $50 million, $40 million of which is for herself, and is reportedly seeking to strip Doncic of his custody rights. Doncic currently has their two children for two days per week but Goltes wants to cut that in half.
"Sources with direct knowledge tell TMZ ... Anamaria has filed a new claim in Slovenia ... and she is seeking $40 million for herself ... we assume the remaining $10 million is for their two daughters. Luca has said he'd do anything for his kids, so $10 mil may be realistic for them, but the $40 mil is a whole other story," the outlet reported.
"We're also told she wants to strip Luca of some of his custody rights. Currently, he has the kids at least 2 days a week, and she wants to reduce it to one day a week."
Custody Battle in Slovenia
Doncic and Goltes ended their engagement in March 2026 after nearly a decade together, surprising many who viewed them as one of basketball's most stable couples. Doncic confirmed the split in a statement, saying the relationship ended because he had been unable to have their two young daughters with him in the United States during the NBA season, adding that his priority would always be their well-being.
Shortly before the announcement, Goltes filed a petition in California seeking child support and attorney's fees, while Doncic simultaneously initiated legal proceedings in Slovenia concerning custody and parenting arrangements, setting the stage for a complex international legal dispute.

The custody battle has centered on where the case should be heard and how the former couple will share responsibility for their daughters, who primarily reside in Slovenia. Doncic argued that Slovenia—not California—was the appropriate jurisdiction because neither parent nor the children were California residents, while emphasizing that he remained committed to supporting his daughters financially and emotionally.
In July 2026, however, the dispute appeared to move toward a resolution when Goltes filed to dismiss her California child support petition without prejudice, a move widely interpreted as a sign that the two sides were working toward a private agreement. Although the California support case was withdrawn, custody proceedings and related matters remained ongoing, with both parties indicating that their children's best interests remain the primary focus.
It's always unfortunate when kids have to be at the center of a dispute between parents.
