If you're a fan of hearing Dave Flemming's voice on ESPN, we've got some unfortunate news for you.
Flemming joined ESPN in 2010 as a broadcaster for college basketball and football. Four years later, he started calling "Monday Night Baseball" games for the Worldwide Leader In Sports.
"In addition to his ESPN responsibilities, Flemming serves as the on-air voice for the San Francisco Giants on KNBR-AM radio broadcasts and select games on television. During his time there he has received three Northern California Emmys for his play-by-play commentary. In 2008, Flemming was also named the best of the new generation of baseball announcers by the Sports Business Journal," his bio for ESPN states. "Flemming handled the radio play-by-play duties for Stanford football for six seasons and has served as a substitute announcer on Golden State Warriors radio broadcasts."
Fleming called this past Monday's game between the Atlanta Braves and San Diego Padres for ESPN. Just days later, Awful Announcing reported that Flemming is no longer with ESPN because he wants to spend more time with his family.

What's next for Dave Flemming?
Even though Flemming is no longer with ESPN, he's still expected to cover the 2026 MLB season. It was announced in May that he'd be the play-by-play commentator for "MLB Sunday Leadoff" games on Peacock and NBCSN.
“I’m excited to join NBC Sports’ baseball coverage,” Flemming said in May. “I’ve really enjoyed NBC’s approach to covering the sport I love so far this season and I’m very happy to be a part of it.”
Perhaps Flemming's responsibilities with NBC Sports will increase again in the coming months.
