Taylor Swift watched Monday night’s Kansas City Chiefs vs. Denver Broncos game from a suite at Arrowhead Stadium.
The Chiefs took down the Broncos, 31-10, on Monday evening. Kansas City opened the year with a victory, after missing the playoffs last season. Denver, which reached the AFC Championship Game last season, opened the season with a tough loss.
Swift’s husband, Travis Kelce, had a nice game. He had three receptions for 71 yards, starting off what could be his final NFL season in nice form.
Late in the first half, Kelce’s wife was shown on ESPN. Fans speculated that she was urging ESPN to take her off of the air.
A popular NFL account shared a video of Swift reacting to her appearance on the air, seemingly saying: “Don’t show me! Get off me!”

ESPN.
But is that actually what she was saying? According to a professional lip reader, that is not actually what she was saying.
Lip reader reveals what Swift was actually saying
Swift was not telling ESPN’s cameras to get off her. Instead, she was watching a play in which Patrick Mahomes found Travis Kelce. She was excited that her husband was “open.”
“Oh, he’s open! He’s open! Get off him!” Swift was saying in the suite at Arrowhead Stadium on Monday evening.
The lip reader’s explanation makes a lot more sense. Swift was watching a play in which Mahomes found Kelce for a completion. She gets pretty animated during games, and is often seeing yelling.
It’s the first game of the year, too, so it makes sense that Swift would get emotional as her now-husband caught a pass and attempted to evade the defense.
The Chiefs will return to play in Week 2 against the Indianapolis Colts. Kickoff is set for 8:20 p.m. E.T.
The game will air on NBC.
