Detroit Lions cornerback Terrion Arnold was arrested Wednesday in Florida on multiple felony charges, per multiple reports.
Arnold is facing four counts of kidnapping and four counts of armed robbery, per Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press. The charges carry a potential maximum sentence of life in prison, per Birkett.
The charges stem from Arnold's alleged involvement in an armed robbery back in February.
“We are aware of the legal situation regarding Terrion Arnold," the Lions said in a statement (via Birkett). "We will not comment at this time out of respect for the ongoing legal process.”
Arnold's management released a statement on his behalf in response to the arrest:
A first-round pick (24th overall) out of Alabama in the 2024 NFL Draft, Arnold has appeared in 24 games (22 starts) for the Lions over the past two seasons since entering the league, tallying 18 pass breakups and one interception. He missed nearly half of the 2025 season with a shoulder injury that required surgery.
