The MLS Champions will be honored once again after their title win in December 2025. Inter Miami will visit the White House, according to The Athletic.
Inter Miami's planned visit to the White House will be on March 5, 2026, according to a White House official. The White House has invited MLS champions in the past, with the Columbus Crew being the last team to do so, after winning the 2023 MLS Cup over LAFC.
This has caused a lot of questions from fans regarding Lionel Messi potentially attending the White House and potentially meeting the President of the United States, Donald Trump.
Messi has been invited to the White House before, but was unable to attend. The Argentine star was invited to visit the White House last year and was invited to receive the Presidential Medal of Freedom from former President Joe Biden in January 2025.
Messi is not confirmed to attend this invitation to the White House despite the invitation being for the entire Inter Miami team.

Lionel Messi's Representative on an invitation to White House
The Athletic reports that it is unclear whether Lionel Messi will attend the event. Messi's representative was asked by The Athletic about the Argentine's star's appearance.
The Athletic reporters Adam Crafton and Paul Tenorio wrote, "A representative of Lionel Messi did not respond when asked whether the Argentina international will join, but the trip has been scheduled ahead of the team’s game against D.C. United on Saturday, March 7. Inter Miami did not respond to a request for comment."
If he does attend, Messi will be among the few football legends to visit the White House, following other football greats like David Beckham and Cristiano Ronaldo.
