Lionel Messi's accomplishments on the soccer field are well known, but far fewer people realize that his success off the field is supported by a close-knit family.
Widely regarded as one of the greatest soccer players of all time, Messi has built a global brand that extends far beyond the game itself. Managing that empire requires a trusted inner circle, and much of that responsibility falls to his family.
Messi has three siblings—Rodrigo, Matías, and María Sol—who have each played important roles in supporting his business interests, charitable work, and day-to-day operations behind the scenes.
Lionel Messi's brothers Rodrigo and Matías Messi
Rodrigo, Messi's oldest brother, has been a key part of his professional team since the Argentine superstar was a teenager.
Working largely behind the scenes, he helps run Leo Messi Management alongside their father, Jorge Messi. Rodrigo oversees commercial partnerships, coordinates publicity campaigns, and manages much of Lionel's media schedule.
Away from the business side, he is also one of Messi's biggest supporters, regularly sharing family moments and celebrating his brother's achievements on social media.

Matías, the second-oldest sibling, focuses on the operational side of the family's business and charitable activities.
He plays a leading administrative role at the Leo Messi Foundation, where he works alongside their mother, Celia, to support healthcare and education programs for children and underserved communities.
In addition to his philanthropic work, Matías manages several family properties and business interests in Argentina and serves as president of Leones Rosario, a local community organization. He is also known for fiercely defending his brother, often speaking out in support of Lionel during major international tournaments.
Lionel Messi's Sister María Sol Messi
María Sol, the youngest of the four siblings, has built a career in marketing, branding, and creative production.
She first gained recognition as the brand manager for The Messi Store, working closely with creative director Virginia Hilfiger to help grow the apparel brand.
She later expanded into media and entertainment, taking on the role of Senior Director of Brand Strategy and Creative at 525 Rosario, Lionel Messi's production company.
Unlike her famous brother, María Sol prefers to keep a low public profile despite her growing role in the family's business ventures. She is also engaged to a coach who works within Inter Miami's organization.
