Lexie Hull flexed her Indiana Fever teammates Caitlin Clark and Aliyah Boston’s World Cup win by making a post on Instagram.
Hull celebrated her 27th birthday on Sunday. Her special day coincided with Team USA’s gold medal win at the FIBA Women’s Basketball World Cup. This is after Clark and Co. defeated France in the final, 97-79.
The 6-foot-2 guard shared the Fever’s Team USA championship update on her Instagram story. Hull added no caption, letting the post speak for itself.
“WORLD CUP CHAMPIONS 🇺🇲🏆 congrats to Caitlin Clark, Aliyah Boston and Stephanie White on winning gold in the FIBA Women’s World Cup 🥇👏,” the team’s caption read.
Aside from Clark and Boston, Fever head coach Stephanie White also won a gold medal as part of the national team’s coaching staff.
Clark registered tournament averages of 7.8 points, 2.2 rebounds and 5.3 assists, while Boston contributed 6.2 points and 3.2 rebounds per game. Both players came off the bench for head coach Kara Lawson.
White, meanwhile, contributed her knowledge and experience on the sidelines alongside fellow assistant coaches Natalie Nakase and Nate Tibbetts.
With the conclusion of the quadrennial tournament, Clark, Boston and White will soon rejoin Hull and the rest of the Fever back in the U.S.
Indiana has four regular-season games left to play. They will face the Toronto Tempo on Friday at Coca-Cola Coliseum, then return home to host the Washington Mystics on Sunday. The Fever will play their last two games of the season against the No. 1-seeded Minnesota Lynx on Sept. 22 and 24.
All of these games will be crucial for the Fever’s chances of potentially finishing as the second seed heading into the postseason. They currently sit in fifth place with a 26-14 record and are only three games behind the current No. 2 seed, the Golden State Valkyries.
