Despite having a relatively healthy squad, Lexie Hull and the Indiana Fever failed to get past the first round of the WNBA playoffs in the 2026 season.
Indiana fell to the Las Vegas Aces in their best-of-three playoff series, marking the second straight year that the A’ja Wilson-led squad eliminated Stephanie White’s team in the postseason.
In the do-or-die Game 3, Kelsey Mitchell led the scoring for Indiana with 23 points. Caitlin Clark had an all-around effort, finishing with 18 points, four assists, two steals and four blocks. Meanwhile, Aliyah Boston contributed 19 points and 10 rebounds.
Unfortunately, their efforts were not enough to slow down Wilson, who poured in 36 points and 10 rebounds to power the Aces to a 94-83 victory. Chelsea Gray was also sensational with 23 points.

While the Fever certainly have plenty to be proud of, especially with Clark and Mitchell both having historic WNBA campaigns, Hull couldn’t help but feel frustrated by their shortcomings.
During her exit interview, Hull expressed disappointment with the Fever’s playoff exit.
“I think it’s disappointing,” Hull said. “I think because our team was healthy, there are more expectations. And with that, there comes more disappointment for us. Obviously, it sucks to be here and to have games still going on. We went into this season with goals of winning a championship, so anything less than that is disappointing.”
Hull also mentioned the fact that it’s unlikely that the Fever will be able to keep their current players, much like how they lost some key members from the 2025 squad. Mitchell, Sophie Cunningham, Tyasha Harris and Myisha Hines-Allen are all unrestricted free agents.
It remains to be seen what the Fever will do next in order to improve their roster and become title contenders. For now, though, Hull and her teammates will have to put the disappointment behind them and look ahead to what comes next.
