Lena Dunham isn't known for holding anything back.
The famous "Girls" creator is considered one of the best writers and creatives of her generation. Dunham, now 40, is good friends with Taylor Swift. She was in attendance at the now-infamous Taylor Swift, Travis Kelce wedding at Madison Square Garden in New York City.
Reports have indicated that Dunham, who lives in New York, gave a brief speech - and made some jokes - during the wedding reception.
One "joke" about NFL players - of which there were many in attendance - drew "gasps" from the crowd.

The Daily Mail reported that Dunham gave a speech during the Thursday night rehearsal dinner at the Infosys Theater at Madison Square Garden.
Dunham reportedly said that NFL players are just "straight guys reenacting gay (expletive),” which reportedly drew everything from laughs to "gasps" from the crowd.
"Given Kelce’s line of work, tight end for the Kansas City Chiefs, there were NFL players in attendance throughout the weekend. After Dunham’s speech, Swift reportedly called her long-time friend a genius," the Hollywood Reporter shared.
More details emerge from Kelce, Swift wedding
The wedding was held on Friday evening, at Madison Square Garden, with roughly 1,000 guests attending.
Adam Sandler, who gave Kelce a role in his sequel to "Happy Gilmore," reportedly officiated the wedding.
Basically every A-list celebrity you can think of got an invitation to the wedding, as New York City police shut down streets around Madison Square Garden, much to the annoyance of real New Yorkers.
It's unclear at this point where Kelce and Swift will be heading on their honeymoon, but given the couple's love of attention, we'll be sure to find out where they are going soon enough.
