We're nearing the end of LeBron James' historic career, but his farewell tour might not start this fall.
James is the top remaining free agent on the market as of July 16. There has been a ton of smoke surrounding his future, especially since this could be the last time he signs an NBA contract.
Kevin O’Connor of Yahoo Sports recently reported that James might have a documentary crew film the entire 2026-27 season. That has fans convinced he'll retire after his 24th year in the NBA.
While at Fanatics Fest this Thursday afternoon, James said he could play two more years before calling it a career.
"It’s a big decision for not only myself but for my family as well. For where I want to spend the last part of my career," James said. "The last year or the last two years of my NBA career

Where will LeBron end up?
ESPN insider Shams Charania has once again suggested that Cleveland, Miami and Philadelphia are the top suitors for James.
"This process is getting closer and closer to the end here. LeBron James has all the information that he needs to make his decision," Charania said. "The Warriors are, to my knowledge, behind other teams such as a Miami, a Cleveland, a Philadelphia."
James proved this past postseason that he's still incredibly valuable even at the age of 41, averaging 23.2 points and 7.3 assists per game. There's no question he'd elevate Cleveland, Miami and Philadelphia's ceilings for next season.
