LeBron James may have unwittingly reminded everyone that he won’t be spending his free time in Philadelphia during today’s 76ers practice.
According to NBA reporter Dave McMenamin, reporters interviewing the team on Tuesday could hear “a loud droning noise” from outside the facility. It was reportedly the sound of LeBron’s helicopter taking him back to New York.
“While Anfernee Simons was answering questions to the media members after Sixers practice Tuesday a loud droning noise could be heard coming from outside the facility: a helicopter for LeBron James to take to head to New York.”
Fans don’t want to hear it
NBA fans were frustrated to see that McMenamin was posting about LeBron taking his helicopter away from the team:
“I don’t know why you think anyone cares. He’s 42. He’s washed. Did you not watch him not try last year?” one user wrote.
“Helicopter to go to New York is crazy when the sixers literally have a practice facility in Camden but honestly the real story is him dodging the postgame questions for the third straight week,” another remarked.
“We all know what a helicopter sounds like but I get what you’re trying to say,” wrote a third.
“Already so tired of this line of reporting.”
“Bro who cares.”
“This isn’t the biggest deal in the world but it’s also super lame and should be recognized as such.”

LeBron will make his debut on the hardwood during the preseason (assuming he plays) when the 76ers take on the New York Knicks at the Xfinity Mobile Arena on October 5.
The real debut takes place on October 20 against those same Knicks at Madison Square Garden.
