LeBron James appears to be slow-playing his NBA free agency decision.
The four-time NBA champion, who announced earlier this summer that he was leaving the Los Angeles Lakers, has been linked to several different teams during free agency. LeBron has been connected to the Cavaliers, Heat, Timberwolves, Sixers and Warriors, among other teams.
There are multiple theories on why LeBron James has yet to make his decision. Some believe that he wanted to wait until the World Cup was over, so he could get as much attention as possible. Others, meanwhile, think that he could still be evaluating all of his options.

But according to Yahoo! Sports NBA insider Kevin O'Connor, LeBron is intentionally slow-playing his decision.
LeBron could be waiting to see if Kyrie Irving or Anthony Davis could land at one of his preferred destinations.
Why LeBron is 'slow playing' his decision
The issue for LeBron, though, is that neither Davis nor Irving are likely to find their way to one of his preferred destinations.
"The popular theory around the league is that LeBron has been slow-playing his decision to see if any of his suitors could find a way to land Irving or Davis. If a team proved capable of acquiring one of his championship teammates, sources say, it might sway him in that direction," Yahoo! Sports reported.
"Nobody has been able or willing to do it yet. The Irving path doesn't seem to exist, and the Davis situation has stalled. For the first time, LeBron might have to choose between rosters as they are and not rosters as he wishes they were."
At a certain point, LeBron is going to have to make a decision.
But for now, the sports world continues to wait.
