It was reported last week that Lawrence Taylor was hospitalized with a stomach issue. On Tuesday, TMZ provided an update on the Hall of Fame linebacker's health.
Taylor, who spent his entire NFL career with the New York Giants, is widely regarded as one of the best defensive players in league history. Not only did he earn MVP honors in 1986, he earned a spot on the NFL's 100th Anniversary Team.
So what's wrong with Taylor? According to TMZ, the two-time Super Bowl champion is receiving treatment for pancreatitis.
"Lawrence Taylor remains in the hospital as he receives treatment for pancreatitis, multiple sources tell TMZ Sports ... but the good news is the Hall of Famer is showing signs of improvement every day," the latest report from TMZ states. "Those familiar with the situation told us it wasn't a life-threatening situation ... and there was hope he would be discharged relatively soon,"

Unsurprisingly, Giants fans have already offered their prayers to Lawrence this week.
"Praying for LT," one fan wrote on X.
"That is the worst pain! Wishing him a speedy recovery," a second fan commented.
"That’s a serious health situation—hope he recovers well," another fan said. "Pancreatitis is no joke."
LT is on the road to recovery.
Taylor's longtime agent, Mark Lepselter, let the NFL community know that his client is expected to bounce back soon.
"Lawrence is getting better every day and is looking forward to getting back on his feet," Lepselter told TMZ.
