Lamar Jackson won't share information about any offseason contract talks with the Baltimore Ravens.
Jackson became the NFL's highest-paid player when signing a five-year, $260 million deal in 2023. However, his $52 million average annual salary now ranks 11th among all quarterbacks, and Patrick Mahomes continued to reset the market with a reworked contract that gives him an AAV of approximately $64 million.
Jackson could be the next superstar signal-caller to warrant a considerable pay raise, but fans won't receive any updates from him about that situation. The two-time MVP told reporters at Monday's training camp that he won't disclose any conversations with Ravens general manager Eric DeCosta.
"I will keep it the same way I have been keeping it," Jackson said. "It's private between me and the G.M."
Jackson, who doesn't have an agent, has previously halted contract discussions at the start of the season. The 29-year-old indicated that he could take a similar approach ahead of his ninth year in Baltimore.
"Yes, I'm focused on football, like I've always been," Jackson said.

Jackson more than justified his current contract by winning his second MVP award in 2023. He played even better the following year, posting a career-high 4,172 passing yards, 41 passing touchdowns, and 119.6 quarterback rating.
The four-time Pro Bowler battled injuries throughout a disappointing 2025 campaign that ended with the Ravens missing the playoffs. Jackson is still pursuing his first Super Bowl appearance, and he admitted that there's growing urgency to ignite a title run.
"Absolutely, it does," Jackson said. "Each and every year I am getting older and not younger, so of course it increases — but it starts now."
Jackson feels he has continued to improve throughout his career and is ready to lead a revamped scheme behind head coach Jesse Minter and offensive coordinator Declan Doyle.
"Each and every year you are getting older, your mind is getting sharper," Jackson said. "Everything is slowing down even more. You've seen anything and everything a defense can bring at you. The only thing different now is just the new offense. So, once I get that down pat, I feel like there is no room for error with us. We'll keep stacking."
