After 18 seasons, John Harbaugh will no longer be roaming the sidelines for the Baltimore Ravens, as the two sides have parted ways. Harbaugh is now the head coach of the New York Giants, and Jesse Minter has been named the new head coach of the Ravens.

Minter benefits from having two-time MVP Lamar Jackson as his quarterback. However, one ongoing concern for the Ravens has been their receiving corps. Last year, Zay Flowers had an impressive season, finishing with 86 receptions for 1,211 yards and five touchdowns. The next highest receiver was tight end Mark Andrews, who recorded only 48 catches for 422 yards and also scored five touchdowns.

The team has also lost backup tight end Isaiah Likely to free agency. Over four seasons, he recorded a total of 1,568 yards and 15 touchdowns. With Likely gone and Mark Andrews aging, Athlon Sports’ Luke Easterling predicts that the team may target Oregon Ducks tight end Kenyon Sadiq in the 2026 NFL Draft. Sadiq could become a significant red zone threat for the team.

"Lamar Jackson needs more pass-catching weapons, and with Isaiah Likely gone and Mark Andrews getting older, they could take his opportunity to grab the unquestioned top tight end in this year’s class off the board," Easterling wrote. "Sadiq has an impressive blend of athleticism and strength that makes him a matchup nightmare for back-seven defenders, and he could immediately become a big-play magnet catching passes from Jackson."

Sadiq’s fit in Baltimore could have an immediate impact where it matters most, inside the red zone. His size, body control and ability to win contested catches make him a natural target in tight spaces, an area where the Ravens have lacked consistent dominance. Defenses already have to account for Jackson’s ability to extend plays, and adding a tight end who can capitalize on broken coverage could make that combination even more dangerous.

What makes Sadiq especially valuable is how he complements Jackson’s play style. When plays break down, Jackson thrives at creating opportunities outside of structure, and Sadiq’s athleticism allows him to uncover and become a reliable option late in the play. That kind of chemistry is difficult to defend, particularly near the goal line, where windows are smaller, and decisions must be made quickly.

Over time, Sadiq has the potential to evolve into Jackson’s go-to scoring threat, filling a role that has been inconsistent in recent years. If that connection develops, it could give Baltimore a more efficient and explosive offense, one that not only moves the ball but consistently finishes drives with touchdowns.
