Bronny James just finished his second season in the NBA. While his time in the league has been filled with ups and downs, the youngster is always under scrutiny for being LeBron James’ son. But there's another sport where Bronny might have the better game in the family — golf.
The 21-year-old arrived in the league in 2024 after getting drafted 55th overall by the Los Angeles Lakers. He then made history with LeBron by becoming the first father-son duo to team up in NBA history. The James family added another piece of history by playing together in the NBA playoffs this year.
While they got swept by the Oklahoma City Thunder in the second round, Bronny is once again in the headlines, but for better reasons. Similar to his father, Bronny has been spending plenty of time on the golf course. He reportedly has only been playing for about a year, but many are questioning that based on his swing.
In a new video, Bronny’s swing won the hearts of fans. The proper posture and his sweet swing were enough to make the video go viral. As the post gained more attention, fans didn’t hide their honest thoughts. One account suggested that the Lakers player “should quit basketball and play golf FT.”
Another fan also had the same thought, adding, “He should give up basketball and make the Tour.” Bronny’s basketball career has always been heavily criticized as he continues to find his space in the Lakers’ lineup. One fan joked that “he’s better at golf than he is at basketball.”
Some fans express their opinion that Bronny's swing is better than LeBron's. Speaking of comparisons, one user posted photos of Bronny and six-time major winner Rory McIlroy side by side. “The young fella is gonna be hella good if he keeps it up,” the user captioned, while another fan wrote, “If he would have focused on golf as a kid, he’d be pro.”

Michael Kim, who has made almost $13 million on Tour and finished tied for 44th at last week's PGA Championship, praised Bronny's swing: "Damnnn. Slightly over the top but a really solid swing."
Bronny James averaged 2.9 points per game for the Lakers this season while also frequently playing for the organization's G League team, averaging 15.6 points in 14 regular season games. Still only 21 years old, Bronny has plenty of time to improve regardless of whether it’s on the basketball court or on the golf course.
