LAFC will play its third 2026 Leagues Cup match at BMO Stadium against Club Querétaro. LAFC are in need of three points as they look to qualify for the quarterfinals.
The teams that finish in the top 4 of the MLS Leagues Cup table will reach the quarterfinals, and LAFC are currently 8th with five points.
LAFC drew 1-1 with Chivas de Guadalajara in the first matchday but won the penalty shootout to gain 2 points. In the previous match, LAFC defeated Toluca FC 1-0 with a last-minute goal by Eddie Segura.
That win gives them hope in reaching the quarterfinals, but not only do they have to beat Querétaro, but LAFC would also need Austin FC, Chicago Fire, and FC Dallas not to win.

Querétaro is already eliminated from the competition and has nothing to play for tonight after losing their first two games against FC Dallas and Seattle Sounders.
