San Francisco 49ers fullback Kyle Juszczyk may have to change up his signature celebration for the rest of the 2026 season.
Juszczyk reached the end zone for the first time this season during last Sunday’s game against the Miami Dolphins. He finished the game with two catches for 27 yards. Five days later, the NFL fined him for “engaging in offensive demonstrations” on the field.
It turns out the NFL fined Juszczyk for pretending to chug a beer, which violates Rule 12, Section 3, Article 1. This violation occurred with under eight minutes left in the third quarter of the Dolphins-49ers game.
The notice that Juszczyk received from the NFL states “players are expected to conduct themselves in a manner that reflects positively on the game and is consistent with NFL standards of sportsmanship.”
Juszczyk couldn’t believe the NFL fined him $14,926 for this celebration. The All-Pro fullback even went on social media to share this message: “Can’t make this stuff up…”

Misunderstanding by the NFL.
For those unaware of Juszczyk’s celebration, it’s an ode to his nickname “Juice.” He has said before that he’s not imitating a person chugging a beer on the football field.
“I don’t even drink beer,” Juszczyk told ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
Although it’s not really a huge surprise, Juszczyk has already appealed the NFL’s fine. We’d have to imagine he’s got a good chance of winning this appeal and saving himself $14,926.
