Both teams are in Path C, and both teams won their respective semifinals of Path C last Thursday.
Turkiye defeated Romano 1-0 at home at the Tupras Stadyumu in Istanbul, Turkiye. The goalscorer for Tukriye was Ferdi Kadioglu, who scored in the 53rd minute.
Kosovo pulled an impressive victory away from home against Slovakia, beating them 4-3 at the Stadion Tehelné pole in Bratislava, Slovakia.
The goal scorers for Kosovo against Slovakia were Veldin Hodza, Fisnik Asllani, Florent Muslija, and Kreshnik Hajrizi.

The last time Kosovo and Turkiye faced off was in 2017 during the UEFA World Cup qualifiers for the 2018 World Cup. Turkiye defeated Kosovo 4-1 on June 11, 2017, with goals from Volkan Sen, Cengiz Under, Burak Yilmaz, and Ozan Tufan.
