Tom Brady spent two decades making franchises better from the inside out. Now he's doing it again in Las Vegas. Since picking up a 10% minority stake in the Las Vegas Raiders in late 2024, Brady hasn't exactly been a quiet partner.
The former quarterback finished his playing career with 89, 214 passing yards, 649 touchdowns and seven Super Bowl rings. That kind of background does not sit still in a boardroom.
Following a rough 3-14 season in 2025, Brady took an active role in the head coaching search that eventually landed Klint Kubiak in the job. And once Kubiak arrived, Brady didn't step back.

He's been in the mix ever since, working closely with the new coach as he settles into one of the tougher jobs in the NFL. Kubiak opened up about that dynamic in a recent sit-down with Paul Gutierrez on "Upon Further Review" and made it clear that Brady's involvement goes well beyond team meetings.
"I probably contact him once every two days. Text back and forth or call each other, just very supportive. Obviously he wants the Raiders to win and he's always trying to touch base with myself or Spytek on how we can help that process," Kubiak said. "I love picking his brain, love hearing where he's coming from. He's given me so many pointers on experiences that he's been through. So I'm taking notes and I'm asking questions."
That kind of access is hard to put a number on. Brady spent 23 seasons reading defenses, managing pressure and winning in situations most coaches only study on film. For a first-year head coach stepping into a rebuild, having that on speed dial every other day is a genuine edge.
Kubiak did not frame it as something that only benefits him personally either. He described Brady as a presence that runs through the whole organization, not just the coaching staff.
When Raiders owner Mark Davis brought Brady into the fold, the move was never just about the name recognition. The intent was direction. Stability. A sharper voice in the room when decisions get made.
Based on what Kubiak is describing, that's exactly what it has turned into. Las Vegas is still early in its rebuild but with Brady this involved this early the conversation around the Raiders is already starting to shift.
