Former Washington Commanders offensive coordinator Kliff Kingsbury has decided he won't take the year off from coaching.

Kingsbury and the Commanders mutually agreed to part ways after the 2025 season. That news shocked plenty of fans simply because he was a year removed from helping the franchise reach the NFC Championship. His connection with quarterback Jayden Daniels was also considered to be very strong.

"I love working with Kliff," Daniels said. "Me and him have a special relationship. I just wish I was out there more to play for him this past year."

At the end of the day, Commanders head coach Dan Quinn felt like he needed to make changes to his staff. And to be fair, Kingsbury's offense wasn't exactly great in 2025. His unit ranked 22nd in points and yards.

Luckily for Kingsbury, it didn't take him too long to find a new gig. According to ESPN's Adam Schefter and Peter Schrager, he'll be joining forces with Sean McVay and the Los Angeles Rams.

"Kingsbury and McVay have been speaking over the last two weeks and there's mutual excitement to finally get to work together," Schrager said. "When the Giants opted to hire Matt Nagy as OC, the path was cleared for Kingsbury to the Rams."

This is a savvy move for the Rams, especially since they lost offensive coordinator Mike LaFleur to the Arizona Cardinals.

It's a great week for the Rams.

On Thursday night, Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford was named MVP of the league. As he was accepting the award, he announced that he'll return to Los Angeles for the 2026 season.

"I'll see you guys next year," Stafford said.

The Rams should be considered Super Bowl contenders next season as long as Stafford stays healthy.
