Nate Frazier remains officially questionable for Georgia’s matchup against Oklahoma, but a new report provided the Bulldogs with encouraging news hours before kickoff.
Friday’s SEC availability report lists Frazier as questionable to play against the Sooners after the rib injury he suffered during Georgia’s 45-17 victory over Arkansas last week.
Frazier exited the Arkansas game early and did not return. Georgia coach Kirby Smart indicated on Monday that the injury did not appear serious.
“Nate, I think, is going to be fine,” Smart said Monday. “He’s going to be day-to-day. Expect him to be able to play.”
According to On3’s Pete Nakos, Frazier is indeed expected to play Saturday despite dealing with the injury and being listed in the SEC’s report.
“I think both of them are fine. I don’t honestly know,” Smart said of Frazier and wide receiver Isiah Canion. “Nate had a little ding. It’s bothering him. We’re going to go check on it, and Isaiah the same way. But I thought both of them probably could’ve played if they needed to.”
Frazier has led Georgia’s backfield through three games, recording 24 carries for 202 yards and five touchdowns. He has scored a rushing touchdown in every game this season, and could extend the streak to four games on Saturday.

Frazier’s expected availability would give Smart another option alongside Chauncey Bowens against Oklahoma, with the latter scoring three touchdowns against Arkansas last weekend. The junior rusher has 67 rushing yards on 16 carries this season.

If Frazier is limited, Georgia has additional backfield options in Dwight Phillips Jr., Nick Peal and Bo Walker. Both Paul and Walker have 12 carries for 55 and 52 yards, respectively, while Phillips has seven rushing attempts for 49 yards.
Georgia hosts Oklahoma at Sanford Stadium on Saturday at 3:30 p.m. ET.
