Kinley Rasmus’s time at the 2026 Little League World Series is over.
The 12-year-old female baseball player from Alabama has been a sensation at the 2026 Little League World Series in Williamsport, Pennsylvania. However, her time at the tournament ended on Wednesday night.
Alabama fell to Ohio in an elimination game on Wednesday evening. Ohio will advance to another elimination game on Thursday, taking on Iowa. The winner of that game will play Nevada in the U.S. championship game.
But Rasmus’s time at the Little League World Series is over. The female baseball player, who set records for her performance, was in tears immediately after Alabama’s final out on Wednesday night.

Rasmus was in tears, covering her face with her jersey, as she walked off of the field on Wednesday night.
For many young baseball players, the Little League World Series will be the peak of their careers. That doesn’t mean Rasmus can’t go on to accomplish great things afterward. However, it’s rare for anyone to play on national TV, in front of millions on ESPN, and Rasmus got to do that this week.
Fans pay tribute to Rasmus’s performance
“Omg do not show kinley rasmus crying that poor little girl show literally anybody else,” one fan wrote.
“Great run Kinley Rasmus (and Phoenix City AL/Southeast LLWS team) You got a lot of fans rooting for you wherever you end up. Hopefully playing for @clemsonsoftball 🥹🥰😊,” one fan added.

Incredible group of athletes that will be littered on high school sports rosters in the coming years. And yes, Kinley Rasmus is far from done. She’s got another legacy to build in the @RedDevilFlagF and @LadyRedDevilSB programs,” anotehr added.
“What a run from Kinley Rasmus! Fear the Bow is a LEGEND! She is going to DOMINATE in the SEC in a few years!” one fan added.
The 2026 Little League World Series will continue on Thursday, but Rasmus’s time is done.
