Although it wasn't televised on NBC, there was a Super Bowl halftime show headlined by Kid Rock this Sunday.
Turning Point USA created the "All-American Halftime Show" as a response to the NFL choosing Bad Bunny as its halftime performer. Those who went over to Turning Point USA's YouTube account didn't just watch Kid Rock perform, they were treated to performances from Gabby Barrett, Lee Brice and Brantley Gilbert as well.
“The All-American Halftime Show is an opportunity for all Americans to enjoy a halftime show with no agenda other than to celebrate faith, family, and freedom,” Turning Point USA spokesman Andrew Kolvet said. “We set out to provide an entertainment option that will be fun, excellent, and exciting for the entire family while millions are gathered together for the big game. These performers will deliver exactly that, and we can’t wait to watch the incredible show they’re about to put on. We know millions around the country will be watching too.”

While there's no question Americans were fired up for Kid Rock's performance, it appears he may have forgotten a lyric or two. A video of him lip-syncing has gained serious traction on social media. People claim it's an awful look for the "All Summer Long" singer.
"Kid Rock appears to forget the lyrics to his song while lip syncing at the Turning Point USA halftime show," a popular social media account wrote.
"I understood Bad Bunny better and I don’t speak Spanish," one person said.
Another person commented,"Well, that's embarrassing."
How many people tuned in for this halftime show?
According to Ryan Glasspiegel of Front Office Sports, the “All American Halftime Show” had roughly 6 million concurrent views.
“Pretty sure Kid Rock is lip synching. Nevertheless, it’s a well produced show I think it has peaked around 6 million views between those two YouTube feeds,” Glasspiegel said. “You start accounting for multiple viewers per screen and the TPUSA halftime show was genuinely disruptive.”
We'd have to imagine that'll be viewed as a success for Turning Point USA. Will it lead to more halftime shows in the future though? Only time will tell.
