James Harden has not been with the Houston Rockets since 2021, but one fan thought his decision to request a trade away from the Los Angeles Clippers is still tied to the current Houston situation. Kevin Durant will have none of it.

Roosh (@RooshWilliams), with more than 30,000 followers on X and is known in the Rockets community as their analyst, thought it is time to bring up how Ime Udoka passed up on the chance to coach Harden when he was hired by the team as their new head coach in 2023.

"If James Harden never ends up winning a ring, he’ll go down with the nastiest, most empty legacy of any NBA superstar ever," Roosh wrote. "I'm not even mad at it. But this is exactly why Ime didn’t want to bring him to Houston and this is why I’m so thankful the Rockets went with Fred instead."

Durant, Harden's former teammate and close friend, joined the conversation by referencing a skit done by popular comedian Dave Chapelle.

"Who the [expletive] wants to know what Roosh thinks at a time like this," Durant explained.

Roosh was clueless at first until another fan pointed out that KD is just trolling and not beefing. The Rockets superstar is on X a lot, interacting with fans and haters alike. He explained in August last year that he likes talking to people in the app as others find it an entertainment.

"Think of it like Dave Chappelle or any comedian you like just goes to a comedy club and test his jokes out unexpectedly," he said. "Some people feel offended by the jokes but some understand the setting."

Harden's time with the Los Angeles Clippers ended on Tuesday after the team traded him to Cleveland Cavaliers for Darius Garland and a future second-round pick. Reports said Harden himself made the demand to be with another team where he will be able to play for multiple years and compete for a championship.

Harden and Durant became teammates twice: first with the Oklahoma City Thunder and then the Brooklyn Nets. Their friendship was featured in a Netflix show wherein KD called Harden his "real brother."
