There's a very real possibility the Seattle Seahawks have to replace Kenneth Walker III this offseason.
Walker, a second-round pick from Michigan State, has racked up 4,560 scrimmage yards and 31 touchdowns over the last four seasons. He saved the best stretch of his career for Seattle's playoff run this past season, rushing for 313 yards and four touchdowns. Although the Seahawks struggled at times to move the chains in the Super Bowl, he carried the offense with 135 rushing yards on 27 carries.
Despite being incredibly productive this past season, Walker didn't receive the franchise tag from the Seahawks. That means he's poised to become an unrestricted free agent.
If Walker signs elsewhere this offseason, he'll become the fourth player to win Super Bowl MVP and then start the following season on a different team.

Who'll replace Kenneth Walker III if he leaves Seattle?
According to Corbin K. Smith of Emerald City Spectrum, the Seahawks are expected to show interest in Tyler Allgeier.
Allgeier's role with the Atlanta Falcons has diminished since the emergence of All-Pro running back Bijan Robinson, but he proved in 2022 that he's capable of taking on a bigger role. He had 1,035 rushing yards on 210 carries that season.
The Seahawks will need to add a running back this offseason regardless if they lose Walker in free agency. After all, Zach Charbonnet is recovering from a torn ACL.
