The Kansas City Chiefs improved to 4-0 on the season, defeating the Las Vegas Raiders in a tightly contested Week 4 contest, 30-27.
Kansas City’s offense just keeps humming with quarterback Patrick Mahomes and running back Kenneth Walker III leading the way. Mahomes threw for 225 yards and two touchdowns in the win, while Walker exploded for 177 rushing yards and two touchdowns on the ground.
It wasn’t an easy win for the Chiefs, who were actually trailing 13-10 entering the final quarter. However, a big fourth quarter, highlighted by Walker’s back-to-back touchdowns just 19 seconds apart, allowed Kansas City to turn the tables and eventually secure the victory.
Following the win, the Chiefs made sure to highlight what Walker accomplished in the game and even gave him a new nickname.

“The Truth,” the Chiefs wrote on Instagram, along with a screenshot showing Walker’s statistical milestones.
Not only did the 25-year-old RB become the first Chiefs player to have at least 175 rushing yards and two touchdowns since Jamaal Charles in 2010, but he also made franchise history for the most rushing yards (537) through the first four games of a season.
Even more remarkable, his rushing yards so far are the most in the NFL in the first four games of a season over the last 15 years.
“The Truth” is a popular nickname that has been widely used in sports. It is often given to players with exceptional abilities and high skill levels, with NBA icon Paul Pierce, boxer Errol Spence Jr. and Super Bowl champion Karl Williams among those who have earned the moniker.
Considering what Walker has done for the Chiefs early in his Kansas City career, he’s certainly deserving of that nickname.
