Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever secured their fourth straight win Sunday night, defeating Angel Reese and the Atlanta Dream 95-91 on the road in overtime. And on the other side of the country, Kelsey Plum, who was out with an injury, watched on as the Phoenix Mercury suffered an 88-85 loss to the Portland Fire, their fourth loss in the last five games.
Clark finished the game with a team-high 26 points on 9-of-20 shooting and 3-of-10 from distance, while adding nine rebounds and three assists. This not only marked the 23rd game of her three-year WNBA career with 25 or more points and five or more assists, but also her 12th such game of the 2026 season.
With her performance on Sunday, the former Iowa Hawkeyes star extends her WNBA record for the most games with 25 or more points and five or more assists in a single season. She initially broke the record, previously held by Mercury legend Diana Taurasi (10), in Friday's 98-87 win over the Dallas Wings, recording 29 points and 10 assists.

Not only that, but Clark also broke a tie with Plum (22) on the all-time list of most 25+ point and 5+ assist games, taking sole possession of fifth and dropping Plum out of the top five.
The last time Plum achieved these numbers came when she was still with the Los Angeles Sparks back on June 13. In a 111-102 overtime win over the Mercury in the Commissioner's Cup, when the former Washington Huskies guard tallied 43 points on 14-of-26 points and seven assists. She was traded two games later.
While Clark continues to move up the list, she still has a long way to go to catch some of the all-time greats. This includes New York Liberty guard Sabrina Ionescu (28), Dallas Wings guard Arike Ogunbowale (29) and Chicago Sky guard Skylar Diggins (31). But the record for most career games with 25 points and five rebounds belongs to Taurasi with 61.

Up next for Clark and the Fever, a matchup with the Toronto Tempo on Tuesday. Meanwhile, the Mercury will face the Dream in their next game on Saturday.
