Kelsey Mitchell turned a lot of heads recently after the Indiana Fever’s playoff exit at the hands of the Las Vegas Aces in the first round. During the team’s exit interviews, Mitchell talked about her plan to be “selfish” as she enters unrestricted free agency.
Mitchell said that she will do what’s best for her and her career when exploring her free agency options, adding that having “good chemistry on and off the floor” will also be another factor in her decision.
Despite her uncertain future with the Fever, however, the WNBA star remains supportive of her teammates. In fact, she showed plenty of love to Aliyah Boston following her latest post.

On Tuesday, Boston looked back at the campaign she had and showed her appreciation for everything they had accomplished as a team.
“year 4 [check],” Boston wrote. “in all things I give thanks!”
Mitchell was among the Fever players to comment on the post, sending a short but sweet message to Boston.
“love you, 7,” Mitchell wrote.
Mitchell and Boston have been teammates ever since the latter arrived in the WNBA as the first overall pick of the 2023 draft. The two have been through a lot together, from failing to make the playoffs in their first year together to establishing themselves as a team with championship expectations every year.
While it remains to be seen if their partnership on the court will continue, the two have certainly built a strong relationship that goes beyond being just teammates.
