Kelly Stafford, the wife of Los Angeles Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford, previously criticized TV networks and the NFL for giving Taylor Swift so much attention during Kansas City Chiefs games.
“Now, I have never once said I didn’t like Taylor Swift — ever,” Stafford said to her co-host Hank Winchester during a 2024 episode of their show. “But I will say I kind of got tired of the Chiefs’ coverage of it — actually the NFL’s coverage — of this budding relationship last year. And, can she do anything about that? No, she can’t.”
The wife of the Super Bowl-winning quarterback added: “It was a good business decision for the NFL but I almost felt like it was outshining the games. And that’s what bothered me. I was a little jealous of the fact that they were getting all this attention and all of a sudden the football game was the sideshow. So yeah maybe I let jealousy get the best of me.”

Kelly Stafford ultimately admitted that she was "jealous" of the attention another WAG (wife or girlfriend of athlete) was getting.
“I was like, ‘Why was I feeling that way?’ And it really was, I had some jealousy issues of the fact that she all of a sudden became the main show in NFL football … or their relationship,” she said. “And I watch my husband work his (expletive) off and I watch all these guys who play for the league work their (expletive) off and all of a sudden they’re like the sideshow. So that is where that kind of came from.”
Kelly, Matthew Stafford attend the Travis, Taylor wedding
Kelly Stafford's past comments apparently didn't get her in any hot water with Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce.
She was in attendance at the massive, 1,000-plus person wedding in New York City on Friday night.
"A night that reminded us all just how lucky we are to have found our person. ❤️," she wrote.
Maybe we'll get a Chiefs vs. Rams Super Bowl matchup this year to cap everything off.
