Bill Self and the Kansas Jayhawks fell well short of a national championship title during the 2025-26 college basketball season. After going 23-10 (12-6 Big 12) during the regular season, they earned the East Region's No. 4 seed in the NCAA Tournament. However, they were eliminated after a second-round loss to the No. 5 St. John's Red Storm.
Unfortunately for the Jayhawks, their losses continue into the offseason. With the transfer portal open from April 7 to 21, they have already lost seven players. Among that group is redshirt freshman forward Bryson Tiller.
Coming out of high school in the 2024 recruiting class, he was a four-star recruit, the No. 11 power forward and the No. 76 player in the nation, per Rivals Industry Rankings. He chose Kansas while holding offers from the Auburn Tigers, Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets, Indiana Hoosiers and Providence Friars.

He put together a solid season for the Jayhawks, appearing in 35 games and making 31 starts. He averaged 7.9 points, 6.1 rebounds and one assist per game while shooting 44.9% from the field and 26.9% from the three-point line.
However, after two years in Lawrence, he opted for a fresh start by entering the transfer portal. Any chance Kansas has of bringing him back has been squashed. Tiller announced his commitment to the Missouri Tigers on Thursday.
With three more years of eligibility, Tiller becomes the third player Missouri has landed in the transfer portal. Joining him are forward Jamier Jones (Providence) and forward Jaylen Carey (Tennessee Volunteers). The group currently ranks first in the SEC.
Meanwhile, Self and his staff continue to work on their roster after yet another player finds a new home. Luckily for Kansas, it may have already found a replacement for Tiller in former Utah Utes forward Keanu Dawes.
