The Kansas Jayhawks made another addition to their transfer portal class on Thursday. After being eliminated in the second round of the NCAA Tournament by the St. John's Red Storm, Bill Self and his staff have been hit hard by the portal.

Kansas has lost nine players to the transfer portal, with contributors such as center Flory Bidunga (Louisville Cardinals), forward Bryson Tiller (Missouri Tigers) and guard Melvin Council (uncommitted) all leaving.

However, the Jayhawks are working toward replacing those departures and recently made their fourth addition. On Thursday, On3's Joe Tipton reported that Kansas received a commitment from former Radford Highlanders guard Dennis Parker Jr.

Parker began his career with the NC State Wolfpack as a four-star recruit in the 2023 cycle. After two seasons without much production in Raleigh, he transferred to the Highlanders and is coming off a breakout year.

During the 2025-26 college basketball season, Parker started 32 games for Radford. He averaged 18.3 points, 5.9 rebounds and 1.3 assists per game. He also shot 48.4% from the field and 37.7% from the three-point line.

After leading the Highlanders in scoring, the junior earned second-team All-Big South Conference honors. However, with just one more year of eligibility, his time with Radford is over.

Parker is the fourth transfer portal addition Kansas has made this offseason, joining center Christian Reeves (Charleston Cougars), guard Leroy Blyden Jr. (Toledo Rockets) and forward Keanu Dawes (Utah Utes).

However, the group still has a lot of ground to make up. Even after adding Parker, the Jayhawks' transfer class ranks 16th in the Big 12 and 77th in the nation.
