Kenneth Walker III’s start with the Kansas City Chiefs this season has been nothing but productive, especially as the team remains unbeaten after three games. So far, Walker has rushed 65 times for 360 yards and two touchdowns.
Walker has also made 11 receptions for 82 yards and two touchdowns, establishing himself as a dangerous weapon both on the ground and through the air.
That kind of impact has been valuable for quarterback Patrick Mahomes, who has enjoyed having a reliable running game alongside his proven passing skills. Walker’s presence has forced opposing defenses to account for him as another scoring threat, creating more opportunities for the Chiefs’ passing attack to operate more effectively.

Sure enough, Walker’s positive impact has not gone unnoticed. Star tight end Travis Kelce made sure everyone knew how much he appreciates the veteran running back in a post on social media.
“Give 9 the ball,” Kelce wrote on his Instagram story, along with a photo of himself and Walker celebrating.
It will certainly be interesting to see if Walker can maintain his incredible production as the season progresses.
With the Seattle Seahawks last campaign, he finished with 1,027 rushing yards and five touchdowns on the ground, along with 31 catches and 282 receiving yards. The reigning Super Bowl MVP is well on track to surpass these numbers with the Chiefs.
The Chiefs will play the Las Vegas Raiders in Week 4 on Sunday. Walker, Mahomes, Kelce and the rest of the Kansas City offense will certainly be tested, especially against a Las Vegas defense that has held two of its first three opponents to under 15 points.
