Kansas City Chiefs WR Xavier Worthy injured his right shoulder in practice over the weekend, and it immediately triggered Chiefs Kingdom. One of the nightmares etched into Chiefs fans' brains from the 2025 season came in Week 1 when Worthy collided with TE Travis Kelce and suffered a dislocated right shoulder. The dislocation also caused a torn labrum, and he was not the same dynamic receiver we saw in his rookie campaign all year.
Worthy was diagnosed with a sprained shoulder over the weekend, which sounds minor, but he had surgery on that same shoulder in January. When you dislocate limbs, future injuries and dislocations become easier. Is this what we're seeing with the slight but speedy receiver? The Chiefs expect Worthy back sometime this week and are downplaying the severity. It's something to watch to see if he can make it through camp without aggravating it.

Rookie Receiver Also On the Mend
The biggest rumbling from Kansas City Chiefs training camp, outside of QB Patrick Mahomes being fully involved after his ACL and LCL tears, has been rookie WR Cyrus Allen. Allen has turned heads during the first week of practices, and there was buzz that he could push for a bigger role in the offense.
That buzz seemed to have lost its stinger when Allen was helped off the field with a lower-leg injury late Saturday. The rookie appears to have avoided major injury, though, as he was diagnosed with a shin bruise. He's expected to return to practice sometime this week, according to The Athletic beat writer Nate Taylor.

Rashee Rice Easing In
WR Rashee Rice is recovering from offseason knee surgery, and he increased activity to participating in warmups and play installations. He has yet to do team drills as we enter the second week of camp.
